Impact Research Groups is an 8-week research programme helping you tackle the world’s most pressing problems
Impact Research Groups (IRG) is designed to support talented and ambitious students in London who wish to pursue high-impact research careers. Participants will work in small groups with experienced mentors to explore a research question focused on one of our streams. After 8 weeks, the projects will be shared with judges and a winning project will be selected to receive a £2000 prize.

Why pursue a career in research?
Pursing a career in research focused on the most pressing global problems could be an especially impactful way to use your career to do good. Research seems to have contributed to huge improvements in society including progress in medicine or the invention of modern computers.
Each of our streams aim to focus on problems where research could be especially impactful to make progress on.

The programme is designed only for students although we might accept some non-students, we suggest getting to touch with us before you apply.

Unfortunately we are only open to in-person participants. If you aren't based near London, we recommend Future Impact Group, which has some similar streams.
